Audioslave- und früheres Rage Against The Machine-Mitglied Tom Morello wurde gestern in LA inhaftiert, als er an einen Demonstratation für die Rechte illegaler Immigranten teilnahm. Als einer von etwa 2000 Demonstranten, die den Zufahrtsweg zum wichtigsten Flughafen der Stadt LAX blockierten, weigerte Morello sich, den Weg frei zu machen, und wurde festgenommen.

Vorab hatte Morello in einem Interview gesagt, "In these political dark ages, it's important for us to stand up for one another. These hotel workers by the airport make twenty per cent less wages than hotel workers around the rest of Los Angeles. We're here to express our solidarity with them, to help them unionize and to help them close the gap between their sub-poverty wages and the millions and millions of dollars the people who own these hotels make."
